Our Legacy of Devotion
Our Legacy
Late V. Krishnan Nair
Founded in 1950 by Late V. Krishnan Nair along with a group of like-minded devotees, Shree Ayyappa Bhaktha Samiti stands as a beacon of devotion, unity, and service. Inspired by the secular teachings of Lord Ayyappa — the Lord of Kaliyug, the Samiti became the first organization in Maharashtra to celebrate the Pooja Mahotsav of Lord Ayyappa.
Over the decades, the Samiti has continued to celebrate the Shree Ayyappa Pooja Festival every year with the same grandeur, tradition, and spiritual enthusiasm, bringing together thousands of devotees from across Mumbai.
In 2026 on January 12th, 13th, 14th we conducted our 26th Ayyappa Pooja Festival at Nappoo Playground – Matunga
Our Spiritual Journey
Each year, the Samiti conducts the Pooja Mahotsav with utmost devotion and adherence to traditional rituals. The event has grown into a spiritual and cultural landmark for the communities of Dadar, Matunga, Sion, and Dharavi, and continues to attract devotees from all over Mumbai and beyond.
The celebrations blend devotion, culture, and music, featuring devotional singing, bhajans, and performances by eminent artists and musicians, creating an experience of divine energy and cultural harmony.
